Donations in previous years include:
£3000 for The Book for The Shropshire Fallen of The Great War (in conjunction with St Chad’s) to publish a County Record. It resulted in a leather-bound volume and presentation oak case at St Chad’s, one in the County Archives and a hardback volume in each County Library Branch in our towns, and included publication costs for paperback versions for sale to the public
Donation to The Lord Hill Column Restoration Project
£700 to The Orthopaedic Hospital Garden Project for the use of in-patients
£100 to The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital League of Friends
£100 to the Church Organ Fund at All Saints, Castle Fields, Shrewsbury
A garden bench in The Dingle in The Quarry (with the Society’s name on it)
Various good causes in Shropshire nominated by outgoing presidents
A Trophy Cup to Oswestry School for 'Enterprise', at their 600th Anniversary, for them to present annually
£800 towards The Shropshire Young Farmers' Float entry in The Lord Mayor's Show in London, such entry fees allowing for a donation to The Lord Mayor's Own Charity
Sponsorship of a tree-planting project and The Porters' Rest Restoration Project in The City of London - architectural restoration
Donations on occasion at Shrewsbury Flower Show Teas for worthy causes.
£100 towards a much-needed electrically-operated wheelchair for a member
